PE and Sport Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

At Halton all children have access to high quality PE as part of the curriculum and we actively promote participation in all forms of sport through a number of sports clubs available to the children, run by staff or by external providers. In our weekly merit assembly we celebrate sporting achievement and participation, whether an out of school interest or through school activity. For more information about the importance of sport at School please see the Sport at Halton page in the  'Curriculum' section of the website.

All primary schools are in receipt of sports funding provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport; funding has been allocated to schools directly and is  ring-fenced to improve school provision of PE and sport and to raise the profile of healthy lifestyles. Schools have the freedom to choose how they use their funding; The linked report below shows the ways in which we intend to use our allotted money this year and the impact that we hope this achieves.

Previous academic year:
Halton's allocation for 2022-23 was £16,075 and the linked report below shows the impact of the ways the funding was spent in the last academic year.

Year 6 swimming:
