Welcome!

How to get involved

We know how hectic life is and we’re grateful for any time you can spare, from a quick half hour to joining our committee. These are just some of the ways you can pitch in:

  • Sell treats after school on Fridays (just 30 minutes!)
  • Help with event-planning or volunteer on the day
  • Organise the PTA cupboard or sort second-hand uniform
  • Join our committee to help decide how to raise and spend funds

Interested? Email haltonptachair@gmail.com or chat with your class rep to learn more.

Does your company offer volunteering days? Why not use one to help the PTA!

Ways to donate

We know times are tough, so we’re incredibly grateful for your support. Anything you spend at our events goes directly towards our fundraising, but there are a couple of other ways you can contribute too:

  • EasyFundraising: download the app or browser extension, then when you shop with participating retailers the school receives a percentage of what you spend – at no extra cost to you!

  • Donate to our bank account:
Friends of Halton Combined School Association
    Sort code: 30-90-38
    Account number: 01336900

What we’re fundraising for

Right now, we’re working to revamp the school’s outdoor classroom. We’re already part way there (see what we've already funded, below), and next up will be:

  • A digging zone
  • An insect wildlife area
  • Fun outdoor play equipment (balls etc)

We’ve also funded:

  • 32 iPads and a trolley, costing £12,000
  • £250 per class for teachers to buy the resources of their choice
  • Outdoor base camp and allotment
  • Friendship benches
  • Outdoor speakers
  • Table tennis tables
  • Books for classrooms, the library, and the school’s home-reading phonics scheme
  • Sound system for the hall

Upcoming events

The PTA calendar is always busy. Here's what's coming up next:

  • Wine tasting: 7.30pm, Thurs 6 November 2025 – tickets live now on ParentPay
  • Christmas disco: Thurs 18 December 2025
  • Spring disco: Fri 24 April 2026

Who we are

We’re a friendly bunch of busy parents who do what we can to help, with no pressure on anyone to do more than they have time for. Some of us are stepping down this year so we’re looking for new members to join us – please email haltonptachair@gmail.com if you’re interested.

Our current committee:

  • Aimée, chair
  • Hannah, deputy chair
  • Leanda, secretary
  • Lindsey, treasurer
  • Jen, deputy treasurer
  • Mignon, Friday coordinator
  • Ele, parent comms manager
  • Vacancy – external comms, PR & marketing manager

We also have an amazing team of class reps who help spread messages via class Whatsapp groups and organise volunteers for our events.
