Halton Community Combined School

Together, our community

inspires a love of learning and

enables children to find their voice.

Our Vision

At Halton Community Combined School, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and nurturing environment where all children are encouraged to find their voice and participate in their learning journey to their fullest capacity. We want all children to experience a rich and varied curriculum, based on enjoyable, hands on activities that provide them with deeper understanding and long-lasting experiences. Our curriculum fosters a love of learning and encourages the children to be a proactive part in their own educational success.

High quality teaching is embedded in our practise, ensuring that children with additional needs are purposefully involved in their learning journey. We strongly believe that a team approach is key to children’s success in their journey. We aim for parents to act in partnership with the school, ensuring that their and their child’s voice is heard, actively contributing to discussions around next steps and children’s targets.

We aim to create a strong, passionate and experienced team of support around a child, by closely working with external professionals, parents and the school staff. Within the school day we recognise that every adult plays a vital role in ensuring a child’s success, and therefore we promote a culture of collaboration, discussion, and informed shared strategies.

By the time that children leave Halton Community Combined School, we aim for all children, including those with additional needs, to be confident and empowered learners who can communicate about their needs and how they learn best, recognising the power and impact of their own voice.

"The SEN provision at Halton has ensured my daughter, who has considerable learning needs, has been able to thrive and continue to love coming to school. Every adult in her learning journey has gone above and beyond to support her and help her reach her full potential. Laura has supported us fully every step of the way and we feel incredibly grateful that Halton has been the school she attended." Parent voice Summer 2023

"From my son’s first day at Halton he has been supported and encouraged to learn. His happiness is a priority to us as parents, and Halton absolutely reflect our values. Halton CC has supported not only our son but provided support and advice to us at home. I truly feel they have gone above and beyond the expected standard. Thank you to the whole team at Halton." Parent voice Summer 2023
